The One Who Causes the Darkness

“If the soul is left in darkness, sins will be committed. The guilty one is not he who commits the sin, but the one who causes the darkness."

  1. Hmm…Man, that is, as they say, food for thought. Yes, social forces have created the darkness, thus making it easy for the vulnerable to fall into. And then, the victims get blamed. Harsh conditions are allowed to continue making it hard for others to avoid. An example (at one level) was seen in Ferguson, MO the night of the "verdict" by the prosecutor. The police parked a squad car night in front of the gathered observers and left it there. When the "verdict" was announced, the crowd reacted immediately by attempting to turn the police over (right in front of them), all of which was caught on camera and the negative label ascribed to them became a self-fulling prophecy. Or maybe I'm completely off base here.
